The Baltic Regional Seminar on Global Development Education
The seminar was implemented by North-South Centre of the Council of Europe with the support of the European Commission and in cooperation with Baltic partners Eesti People to People (Estonia), the Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation (LAPAS), the Lithuanian Children’s and Youth Centre, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania on October 24-25, 2016 in Tallinn Sokos Hotel Viru, Estonia.
Building on the Zagreb 3rd Global Education Congress recommendations and on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this seminar brought together 43 different stakeholders, among practitioners and policy-makers, with the aim to discuss the situation of global/development education in the Baltic region and to promote national policy recommendations and practices.
